Description: We partnered with Trinity Church in Long Lake to help one of their single parents with some much needed yard work. Our team trimmed trees, removed stumps, raked leaves, replaced steps, and many other yard clean-up tasks.

Description: We helped a co-worker of one of our members whose husband was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 52. A small team helped their family with some minor repairs that were needed around their house.
Twins Cities Paint-A-Thon

Volunteers: 12 people, 80 hours
Description: Kai’s home was built in the early 1900’s. She has called this home for 20 years it was never painted during that time. Hammers teamed up with Twins Cities Paint-A-Thon to scrape and paint her house. After we were done Kai shared that “My home is transformed and I am so thrilled!” and one of her neighbor's told her "Wow!! Your house looks amazing!"
Roof Project Shawn and Erin
When: October 5-6, 2012
Where: South Minneapolis
Volunteers: 29 people, 168 hours
Description: Shawn and Erin have 3 children and due to health issues, Shawn has been unable to work and has become legally blind. They needed a new roof due to water leaks from ice dams. Our team tore off the old roof and installed a new roof.

Volunteers: 4 people, 16 hours
Description: Karen is single and has a rare neurological disease that makes it difficult for her to walk and talk. She is unable to do chores around the house so we put a small team together to do some fall clean-up and minor repairs around her house.
