2015
On Saturday April 25th during Spring Work Day at Linda Muras' home. Linda is a widow in our church who needed some help with some outdoor projects. We removed a small concrete decorative pond, repaired some siding on the garage, replaced some deck boards, replaced some rotting wood on her shed, and trimmed a tree.

On Saturday May 30th, in partnership with Widow's Hope, we helped a recent young widow with some deck repairs on her Hopkins home. Julie has a very small deck and stairs that need to be repaired to make it safe. We also built a 10'x10' freestanding deck in her backyard. Replaced a section of fence and cleaned up her backyard.

On Saturday July 18 As part of our partnership with Mobile Hope, we will be helping 2 home owners at the Maple Hills Estates trailer park by replacing the deck on their home. We will be building two 8'x8' decks with stairs to replace existing decks that are in need of repair.
Join us on Saturday October 17th as we partner with Freedom works on a project. FreedomWorks is a post prison ministry focused on supporting men that are seeking to furthering a relationship with Christ through community while building a solid foundation for their new life upon their release from incarceration. We will be helping with repairs on the FreedomWorks "Welcome Back Center" which includes apartment units, community space and the administration offices for the ministry. The building was renovated 12 years ago but has been in need of updates for the last several years. We will be painting outdoor windows and doors. Please bring ladders, paint brushes, and scrapers if you have them. |
Please join us Nov 14 to help Erin, a Mom of 2 young boys, cleanup some debris around their house and load it into a dumpster. Erin is the daughter of Ed and Harriet Boltin. Her circumstances make it difficult to accomplish this task and she is grateful for the help of Hammers of Hope.
