Who We Are:

Hammers of Hope is an organization of volunteers that come together offering hope to members of our community with needed home projects.

Our mission is “Offering hope and demonstrating Jesus’ love using our tools, time, and talent.”

Hammers of Hope is an organization of volunteers who come together to offer hope to community members who need home repairs. Our volunteers have been helping homeowners since 2004. We take care of structural and cosmetic problems around the home that owners may not be able to perform on their own. Our projects vary from painting and yard cleanup to building decks, shingling roofs and residing homes.

Our focus is to keep homeowners living independently in the safety and comfort of their homes.

Hammers of Hope is more than just a group of people doing good deeds. There is tremendous hope offered to homeowners when they experience the love of Jesus through people they may not even know, who come around them and offer tangible support. We do this because we are each called to serve as the “hands and feet of Jesus.”

LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE BEFORE OTHERS. THAT THEY MAY SEE YOUR GOOD DEEDS AND GLORIFY YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN.
MATTHEW 5:16

How can you help:

There is a place for everyone, we need volunteers with a variety of skills and abilities, anyone who wants to lend a helping hand. If you can push a broom, pull a rake, take a picture, handle a paint brush, screw in a light bulb, provide snacks or a meal for our volunteers, give a word of encouragement, or have any type of construction skill you are welcome.
It is also a great place to learn new skills in a safe and fun environment.

Take a look at our past projects to see the wide variety of projects we have done.

So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Galatians 6:10

Yet it was kind of you to share my trouble.
Philippians 4:14

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
Hebrews 13:16

We would love to have you join us on future Hammers of Hope projects. Come with a friend, neighbor, or make it a family service day! See you on the work site!

How do we find projects: Some projects come through contacts at community organizations, but most come by word of mouth from caring neighbors, friends, or relatives. This is where our church community can help us. We are continuously looking for projects and we need your eyes and ears to help us identify them. Our focus is on homeowner repairs for single moms, widows, military families, the unemployed, the elderly, illness, and emergency situations.

Asking for help:

Are you finding yourself in a place of need we may be able to help. Please contact us and we will work with you the best we can. If your in need but are struggling with asking for help. Please consider that God designed us to need one another.

The Lord God said,”It is not good for man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
Genesis 2:18

When you ask someone else to help you bear a burden, you are giving them an opportunity to serve God and share Christ’s love with you.

Carry each others burdens, and in this way you fulfill the law of Christ”
Galatians 6:2

Take freedom in this: God has designed us to need help, and we honor him in asking for it.
